I just wanted to sit down and take some time to inform you all about what is going on and where we are sitting. As well as to address somethings we have seen online and questions we have received. a Buckle in because it is a long one.
NO TLDR: This is one you should read if you want answers with everything going on.
As you all know we had to go through a rebranding not too long ago. When we first started this company we chose our name and unknown to us that there was already and established business with the first part of our name. After the 4th of July video, that business received a number of emails that were meant for us. To protect their business and their livelihood they decided to file a trademark for their name, and sent us a C&D with using our old name. They are not in the Assisted Reset industry and we understand them not wanting to get confused with us.
All this happened right when we were going to open our bank account...
We rushed to change our name with the State not realizing that we needed to file a change of name with IRS. The IRS actually doesn't require notification of name change until you go to file your quarterly taxes, so we did not even think to submit our change.
Once the State approved our name change we went to open our bank account. Where the bank informed us that the State Certificate name HAS TO MATCH the name on the EIN paperwork, even when our State Certificate specifically says "Formerly Known As: Wicked ...". I know it doesn't make any sense to me either.

So unfortunately, we are stuck like chuck waiting on the IRS 🥴 until we can begin to start conducting any kind of business. We are currently sitting at almost a month since we put in our request with them. I was given 30-60 days timeframe. Fingers Crossed for any day now!
This isn't some side hustle business for us like it is for others. We are doing everything the legitimate way. We are setting things up so we will be around for a long time to come. We aren't going to just ghost everyone like we all have seen way too many times in the various groups within the Assisted Reset Trigger/ Super Safety communities.
We cannot sign up for the VERY NECCESSARY INSURANCE POLICIES, needed to run a legitimate business, especially being a business in the 2A industry. We cannot begin to sign up for 2A friendly Payment Processors, because everyone who is running a legit business in this industry knows not all payment processors accept sales of ANYTHING firearm related, and I am not about to have my monies held for violating Terms of Usage. There really is so much that goes into starting a business in this industry, only those who have know what a pain it is to get it started from an empty slate.
Next we will move onto our manufacturing portion of this update. When we decided to go with the original manufacturing company we were led to believe that they had the necessary equipment to manufacture our RATL-R. When we spoke with them at at the beginning of August getting everything established, he let it slip that he will be outsourcing due to not having the proper machine needed. That did not sit right with us at all.

We have had to revise our vetting process, meaning we have to schedule time to go visit shops, so we can ensure they are equipped and licensed to machine firearm parts. We prefer to keep our manufacturing local to us here in Central Texas. Keeping it local to us will help cut down wait times between order completion and stock availability. Otherwise we are looking at a 5-6 weeks between restocks.
You cannot just go on amazon and buy the things needed to manufacture our product. At the very least it is not the place to go, if you want quality material. The RATL-R is not something you can just go make in the comfort of your own home. It is made out of the best quality material, cut with exact precision with the best quality machines. Anything less than perfection is not tolerated when it comes to the manufacturing of the RATL-R. We take the quality very seriously as anybody should do when it comes to working with firearms.
Next to address why there are videos coming out when we have not hard launched yet. We have a team of operators who are/have been helping us with R&D. A couple of them just so happen to be content creators as well. We have given them the go ahead to film content with our RATL-R. They ONLY have prototypes. We have had nothing but working prototypes but with all this down time we have found ourselves in, we are working on refining and finely tuning our RATL-R trigger. Yes, some versions work better than others but that is exactly what R&D is all about after all. Like we stated above, we don't accept anything less than perfect for you guys.

Last but certainly not least, we need you all to know and understand. Duality Arms Co. is a family operated business. We are a TEAM of 2 people. And 2 people only. Most of you know the big boss man, Christian, from posting in various places. Please know Christian is an Active Duty Service Member his time is very sparse. Unfortunately and obviously his career comes first. This means our process is going to be a longer then it typically would as the meetings we schedule have to be done on his time.
The other half of the team is me! Hi, I am Erin, Christian's wife, I handle all the day to day operations. 9/10 times you are communicating with me. On the other hand I am a stay at home mom and wife, meaning I also run the day to day operations here at home.
Needless to say, we are working as hard and as much as we can to get this up and running and the RATL-R out to all of you!
We appreciate each and everyone of you and your patience with us while we try to get everything together.
-Your Duality Arms Co. Team-
Christian & Erin
I wish you guys the best of luck in this endeavor, however this doesn’t leave a lot of room for confidence. Starting up a business is hard work and very demanding.
